  Pet Shop Boys were no "one off" 80's anomaly just as the brilliant ACTUALLY, their sophomore release, would not be their last but one of dozens of releases right up to and beyond They are unparalleled and unmatched prolific writers of music. 5 stars is too conservative a rating/5().

  Ian Wade reviews the newly reissued PSB film. Pet Shop Boys seem to be undergoing something of a reissue drive as they head towards their 40th year in operation. First there was last year’s completion and vinyl-ing up of the rest of their catalogue, then Chris Heath’s seminal books Literally and In America were republished with updated notes, and now, the thing that has long been left.

In October , Pet Shop Boys issued their third studio LP, the eclectic Introspective.

  Jan 05,  · Some of their finest songs are on display here (It Couldn't Happen Here & King's Cross), but it doesn't flow or work as an album as a whole. At 48 minutes it is too long, with inclusion of songs like Shopping and Hit Music that should have been relegated to b-sides/5().
